Help Akansha Stand up on her feet

Akansha Gupta, a 15 year old girl from a small town, was run over by an 18 wheeler, and her left arm and leg were severely crushed and amputating them was the only option.  Fortunately, the doctors were able to save her arm and leg after performing multiple surgeries.  She has been undergoing intensive treatment since the beginning of the year and it may take up to 2 yrs before she can completely recover and begin to walk again.  Akansha does not have medical insurance to cover the expenses of the surgeries.  As of date, her parents have been billed $25,000 and her additional treatment s going to cost approximately $40,000.  Her father, a salesman who earns $100 a month cannot undertake these medical expenses financially.

Although we cannot help thousands of people who are suffering and are unable to get the right treatment in India, we can make a difference in this one case by helping the family monetarily.  For more details, please visit the site, http://akanshafoundation.weebly.com/
