This year, Be the Change Day will be on Saturday October 1, 2011, and the theme is: Rise Up In Service
Be the Change is a national day of service, coordinated by South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), which is held on campuses and in cities across the country. The event is based on Mahatma Gandhi’s inspirational quote, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world,” and provides opportunities for South Asians to give back to their communities.
